Semantic incorporation and discourse prominence: Experimental evidence from English pronoun resolution

The semantic incorporation of nouns into predicates, like give a hug, is not morphologically marked in English, and how syntactic strategies light verb constructions influence the discourse-prominence structure an utterance has yet been studied systematically. One hypothesis that since semantically incorporated are morphosyntactically they can function any other noun as prominent accessible referents for anaphora.
